Bishop Geneva Polite Howard was born in Brunswick, Georgia on April 2, 1944, and grew up in Springfield, Georgia. She is a graduate of Springfield Central High School and attended the University of Florida where she earned a Food Service Manager Certificate for Front Line Leadership. Howard worked as a supervisor in the dietary department of Candler Hospital for over 40 years. She touched many lives while working and has a large extended family. She has a Certificate in Ministry from Aenon Bible College of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World (PAW) and Freedom Bible College of Savannah, Georgia.
As a faithful servant, Howard received the gift of the Holy Ghost and was baptized in the Name of Jesus in October 1977 under the leadership of
Pastor E. Williams at Jerusalem Tabernacle Apostolic Faith Church. When Pastor E. Williams transitioned, Pastor Howard was selected to serve as pastor for 10 years. Because of her dedicated service and strong desire to serve God, she has been a faithful leader, pastor, and an Overseer for several churches. In 2016, Bishop Dr. Jonathan Wallace, Sr., the International Presiding Prelate of World Assemblies of Restoration, confirmed Howard as the First Female Bishop under the World Assemblies of Restoration.
Bishop Howard is a single parent of one son and two daughters. She also has four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Her fun time consists of attending church, preaching the word, sightseeing and attending conferences.
